| Greetings from Beijing/China |
After a 40 minutes taxi ride around Beijing Renate and Karsten met Dong Da Wei and two mates in a café.
It was an interesting day with very nice and hospitable people, with conversation partially made in English and by hand.

Officially bikes with more than 125 cubes are illegal an forbidden in Chinese cities. Hence, only people with political dealings drive big bikes or youngsters who don't give a f*** for regulations, interdictions, cops and punishment.
Even the police drive small scooters or Hondas or Yamahas with only up to 250 cubes.
The biker scene of Beijing (anyway a megacity with 13 million citizens) consists of max. 250-300 big bikes.
Asked about police checks, Dong laughed and answered:
'No problem ... get into 2nd gear and open the throttle ... the cop with the 250 won't have a chance.'
Lots of greetings vom Dong Da Wei to all ZRW riders.
